The Eurasian Coot. This is definitely one waterbird you would have come across at Karkarook. Have you spotted them running across the water, it almost looks like they are having a race. They love to feed off aquatic vegetation or water weeds. You will often see them submerged, foraging for food available to them from the habitat at Karkarook.
